After a reporter discovered three of five listings for cardiologists listed by a health insurer were wildly wrong– one doctor listed twice who’d actually moved away, another’s office AND gender listed incorrectly, another listed wasn’t a cardiologist at all (but rather an office of the College Board), the company’s PR guy bravely stepped up:

“Mr. Richard, the UnitedHealth spokesman, says if we had done a larger, more scientific study across insurers, we would likely have found similar problems among all the companies.”

That’s the kind of accountability trial lawyers like to see!
